Aleph
Aleph Records was formed in 1997 by Donna Schifrin to showcase the vast recording output of composer, arranger, conductor and pianist Lalo Schifrin. Aleph, derived from the Louis Borges short story "Aleph," which symbolizes all points in the universe coming together in one space, issues the diverse works of the composer, from new music to film scores licensed for CD release. While Aleph focuses almost exclusively on the work of Lalo Schifrin, there is a classic Dirty Harry score by Jerry Fielding on the label as well as a presentation of Schifrin's guitar suite Romerias presented by Argentenian guitarist Sergio Puccini.
