Jerry Fielding
Jerry Fielding was an American film composer. He was born on June 17, 1922, and died on February 17, 1980. He used advanced and dissonant orchestral textures in his compositions. Elements of jazz played a big part in his writing. Fielding wrote a rich score for The Wild Bunch (1969), uncompromising atonal for The Mechanic and Straw Dogs (1972), and neo-romantic for The Nightcomers (1972).
