Press Release from Dragon's Domain: Five Jays Records presents a disc-on-demand release of beloved composer JOE HARNELL’s score to the quirky film SENIOR TRIP. Written, produced and directed by Kenneth Johnson for CBS-TV back in 1981, it was the fourth project he would team up with Harnell on since they first met while working on the series THE BIONIC WOMAN in 1976. This album includes both the underscore and original songs with lyrics created by Johnson.
SENIOR TRIP tells the adventures of a bus load of high school kids who set off from Youngstown, Ohio for adventures in New York City. Harnell’s score is a delightful mix of urban and comical motifs as the teens learn life various lessons. Scott Baio (HAPPY DAYS) and Faye Grant (“V”) led the cast. Also included is the score for SCARED SILLY, an unsold 1982 television pilot directed by the original Gomez Addams, John Astin.
Joe Harnell teamed up with Kenneth Johnson on several memorable TV projects that included THE INCREDIBLE HULK, CLIFFHANGERS!, the original “V” mini-series, HOT PURSUIT, and the pilot for ALIEN NATION. Harnell also composed music for the soap opera SANTA BARBARA.
