| 6/7/13 Two new Intrada releases arrive on Tuesday, June 11. Both are 2-CD sets. One simply fills a demand to bring back one of our titles that has been long out-of-print rather than tie it up forever. The other is a world premiere release of a lengthy nineties score, offered complete on 2-CDs. Interestingly, with regards to the latter, a CD was issued at the time containing just half of the score and actually omitting all of the action music for the final reels of the film. You get all of those cues here, plus many other previously unreleased tracks, all in stunning digital stereo! Artwork and audio samples will be posted Monday, June 10. Orders will begin shipping the next morning. Good stuff! 6/4/13 Since people are asking about dates and it is not a secret that we are releasing Hans Zimmer's major summer score for Disney's Lone Ranger as a co-brand with them, I will go ahead and post now the anticipated street date for our CD. We have it slated for release on July 23. Knowing the creds on this one (composer, director, producer, star and studio) we are anxious to hear it, too! 5/24/13 This coming Monday is Memorial Day around here but we'll still be posting our two newest CDs for you to consider. Orders will begin shipping on Tuesday, May 24. With one title you get a remastered CD to one of the very earliest soundtrack releases to be issued in that format. The stereo audio on that first release has been improved and an indexing oddity has been addressed as well. With our other CD you are being offered a world premiere release of a large scale orchestral score from a Warner Bros. sequel to a wildly popular picture from yet another studio. Whew. I think this one says excitement but then I have wanted it for several decades now. The time has finally come. We will post artwork and audio samples on Monday evening, May 27. 5/13/13 With today's two new releases being announced shortly, we are happy to be offering some great music from both now and yesterday. Now refers to a new western, yesterday refers to classic music from the eighties. Enjoy sound samples and artwork later today and order away! 4/29/13 A pair of fabulous new releases comes your way tomorrow, with artwork and audio samples going up this afternoon. One is arguably the most important never-before-released-in-any-incarnation soundtrack by this incredibly successful composer. With a career of popular albums, both from the actual soundtracks as well as re-recordings, for a variety of reasons this score never made it to the public in any form - even though the composer took home an Oscar for the song that graces the picture itself. Intrada is unusually proud to see this one cross the finish line after several decades have passed by. It appears complete, including the first actual soundtrack release of that magnificent title song. While our second new CD may not carry quite the same impressive credentials, it does carry an incredibly exciting action score, this one for a rousing high-tech action pic from the early nineties. We love working with this composer, too. Check out the brass and percussion with this one and hang on! 4/12/13 Our two new releases for this coming Tuesday include the earlier-mentioned double-header CD of two Fox scores from the sixties, one of them being premiered for the first time ever complete and in stereo! The other new release premieres a dynamic seventies score that was issued at the time on LP but now appears not only from the original Universal session masters but includes a wealth of never-before-released music. Is that cool or what? I say cool. Artwork and sound samples will be posted here on Monday afternoon with orders shipping out on Tuesday, April 16. Ta ta for now! CD3/29/13 Just returning from working at Universal & Disney, I'm making a change in the new release announcement posted earlier today - by just a little. The first release, mentioned as being two scores from the sixties by the same composer, actually applies to yet another CD coming up soon. However, the first CD mentioned, while indeed offering a world premiere sixties score in stereo that has long been begged for, is actually paired with another world premiere thriller score from the seventies by a different composer. You'll want this one as well, anyway! (The second CD remains as discussed.) Both new CDs will begin shipping on Tuesday, April 2. Sound samples and artwork will post here on Monday the 1st. 3/29/13 For our two newest releases, both being announced this coming Monday afternoon, April the 1st (no fooling), we are bringing you some terrific music from the sixties, all in stereo. Up with one of the CDs is a fantastic action score getting it's world premiere complete release, with lots of music being released for the first time ever. Rounding out that CD's program is another cool title by the same composer. The second release offers a world premiere release of another dynamic sixties score, in stereo from all-newly discovered elements, with a cool bonus of the short re-recorded original sixties album appearing from mint condition vault elements as well. One of the greatest main titles ever! 3/15/13 We'll be offering two new releases next Tuesday for you to consider supporting. One CD premieres a dynamic 1980's score with a muscular dramatic slant by an Oscar-winning composer. The other disc presents two fully expanded 1960's scores from an ever-popular composer, both newly restored from the 20th Century Fox vaults and both presented in stereo for the first time. Flipper cover art for all titles plus sound samples will be posted this coming Monday afternoon, March 18. Orders will begin shipping out on Tuesday the 19th. Support one, support both! 3/11/13 An $80 million opening in the U.S. In fact, a total $150 million opening worldwide. OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL is a smash hit at the box office for Disney! The soundtrack, composed by Danny Elfman, is a hit for our label as well. Even though we're just a speck in the Disney universe, we're sure proud to be that speck! Another cool piece of news. Our friend and fellow soundtrack producer, Lukas Kendall, has a feature film in the "found footage" horror genre, opening April the 5th in Los Angeles. If you'd like to discover his screenwriting talents, pop over to the flic's website at www.luckybastardmovie.com and get further details. I've watched the movie myself. I think you'll enjoy it as well. 3/2/13 I hope you'll join us on Tuesday, March 5, when we proudly release Danny Elfman's sensational new score for Disney's OZ The Great And Powerful, which opens just a few days later. Our latest co-brand with Walt Disney Records, this is a very large scale score for orchestra and chorus and should appeal to many. We are eternally grateful that Disney allows us to continue releasing their newest soundtracks on CD as they might otherwise be available only in download formats. We are also releasing another Intrada Special Collection title alongside OZ, featuring some great sixties-era film music. We'll post artwork and sound samples for both releases on Monday evening, March 4. Great music all the way around. 2/15/13 In celebration of Presidents Day, Monday the 18th, we'll be posting artwork and audio samples of our two latest CDs, neither of which has anything to do with presidents. One gives you nineties action with dynamic sizzle, the other gives you eighties drama with warm emotion. Both respective composers remain highly regarded fan favorites. The CDs are in the warehouse now and orders will begin shipping out to you on Tuesday, February 19... when we're all back in the office. 2/1/13 With cold and flu season upon us, it seems both bugs went straight for us here. So most of the hamsters are fighting with maladies and staying at home. Those of us working have either just recovered... or will no doubt fall prey to the bug shortly. On the good news front. Our two newest releases are ready for shipping out this coming Tuesday, February 5. We'll post artwork and sound samples here on Monday eve prior. One finds our latest from the Warner Bros. vaults... and is actually the very first project I pursued when we began working with the studio a couple of years ago. What fun to see it has now materialized... complete and newly mixed in dynamic stereo from the original 16-channel session masters, one of the first scores recorded in the then-new 2" recording format. This one even comes with the cover I always imagined it would carry, going all the way back to the early 1970's when I first saw the western with its iconic star and daily went looking for a record that was never to be. I - and you - finally need look no further! The other CD features two complete scores, courtesy Paramount Pictures. You get a brief 1960's WWII score, in stereo, written by a double-Oscar winner, followed by a longer stereo score for a 1970's prison drama. While the composer here was already known for his sophistication in film scoring, this work easily represents his most complex and daring!
