Original soundtrack from John "Bud" Cardos toxic waste horror movie with Wings Hauser, Bo Hopkins, Jody Medford. Richard Band scores with exciting orchestral music emphasizing variety of motifs, dramatic flourishes over atmospherics. Results are intense symphonic cues with abundance of rhythm, solid harmonies, sturdy musical architecture. Perseverance CD expands upon original Intrada release with plethora of previously unreleased sequences. Curiously, much of CD plays in mono, limits dynamics of vivid score. Bonus tracks from other Band projects adds to running time: DEMONIC TOYS, SEED PEOPLE, ZARKORR, BLOOD DOLLS, HIDEOUS, HEAD OF THE FAMILY. Some digital noise in bonus tracks is also noticeable. Terrific music, great notes from composer, compromised sonics yields mixed-bag production. Richard Band conducts National Philharmonic Orchestra. Limited edition of 1500 units.
