Original soundtracks from two Ti West films scored by Jeff Grace. TRIGGER MAN is 2007 project with Reggie Cunningham, Ray Sullivan, Sean Reid. Jeff Grace writes score (18:16) for eclectic ensemble of strings, electronic manipulations of same. Spotlights are on pizzicato effects from cello, eerie electronic sound textures throughout. THE ROOST is 2005 homage to seventies horror genre. Here Grace writes score (25:12) for string quartet, adds eerie effects but brings in degree of conventional playing techniques, allegro string passages, chime figures, low string pedal tones, so forth. That said, bizarre ideas, atonal effects still remain name of game. Jeff Grace conducts. Limited edition of 500 copies.
