Original soundtrack to initial film drawn from Anthony Horowitz teenage super-spy creation, directed by Geoffrey Sax, starring Alex Pettyfer, Ewan McGregor, Andy Serkis, Sarah Bolger. CD offers mostly Alan Parker score but finds room for 7 songs by various artists. Title tune ("Blame") comes from Transluzent, features Carla Vallet, includes "orchestral transcription" by Parker. Original score lists symphonic participants but gives in-your-face electronic rhythms spotlight. Parker does maintain string melodic sense for both action music, warmer ideas but rhythm remains keynote throughout. A little goes a long way. Alan Parker composes, orchestrates, conducts London Metropolitan Orchestra.
