Original soundtracks from three movies scored by Bill Conti. Each offers rousing, upbeat music. In ROOKIE OF THE YEAR (1993) Conti takes little league baseball tale, hits one out of the park with exciting score emphasizing tour-de-force licks for brass. Highly charged score never stops running. A NIGHT IN THE LIFE OF JIMMY REARDON (1988) affords River Phoenix moments to come of age, supported by infectious music emphasizing strings, woodwinds, keyboards. BUSHWACKED (1995) sends cops, crooks and company in wild chase through Boy Scout territory with Conti leading the chase. First part of score plays to wild guitar-led funk but composer brings significant punch to latter portion with energetic orchestra in tow. Especially challenging trumpet/horn parts highlight "Our Leader". All three scores exhibit balance of exuberant comic razzle dazzle with rousing fanfare, dramatic action. Bill Conti conducts. Limited edition of 1,500 copies.
