Greg Edmonson music uses small ensemble, spotlights electronic timbres, sensitive melodies, gentle harmonies. Solo violin over synthesized bed of strings a primary color, delicate piano another. Ethnic colors appear as well, with occasional nods to Thomas Newman. Guitar, woodwinds round out palette. One moment, bluegrass, the next moment, wistful.
