Original soundtrack from Stuart Gordon horror movie with Chris L. McKenna, Kari Wuhrer. Notes describe music as unorthodox use of traditional acoustic instruments, ideas played on "altered, invented and found" instruments (bottles, boards, toy music box), so forth. Minimalism gets spotlight, melody turns the other cheek. There is content, however. Johnston creates interesting colors by rooting material with low unison ideas, layering multiple percussive textures above. Composer breaks from mold just once with jazz-ish development of material during final "bonus" remix track. All instruments played by Bobby Johnston.
