Welcome to the world of high stakes poker. Amongst the players and gangsters at your card table are Sylvester Stallone, Melanie Griffith, Gabriel Byrne, Hal Holbrook and Thandie Newton. When RKO Pictures finished this sizzling drama, Christopher Young was engaged to compose an original score. He responded with a snappy Schifrin-esque meld of smokey jazz numbers combining muted trumpet, bass, keyboards and other soloists with his own unique harmonic voice and melodic style. Distribution issues sent the movie straight to video and Young's score was dropped in favor of other musical choices. His efforts are not completely lost, however. Coming in October is a special limited release of Christopher Young's original score, brought to you through the dedicated efforts of Mr. Young, RKO Pictures and Intrada Signature Editions.
