When picture focuses on drama between individuals, gentle "Three Friends" melody plays on guitars, solo oboe, flute, clarinet. When movie draws three characters together as a group, stately "March of the Hawaiian Kings" melody plays. Latter idea gets impressive development during stirring beach sequence.
