Ennio Morricone turns western music genre on it's ear with variety of whistles, whip snaps, electric guitar, harmonica bleeps, male voices, you name it - and haunting melody to spare. Dynamic, whirling crescendo for "Ecstasy of Gold" sequence still a monumental highlight. Riveting Spanish trumpet during "The Trio" another. Expanded CD duplicates earlier import CD. The good: Morricone's masterful music. The bad: previously unreleased tracks are in mono. The ugly: there is no ugly.
