Press Release from Tadlow:Tadlow Music proudly presents one of the film music events of the year: the premiere recording of Maurice Jarre’s complete score for Is Paris Burning? For Jarre, Is Paris Burning? wasn’t just a film – it was a memory. A native of Lyons, France, he was living in Paris during the events chronicled in the picture—the liberation of Paris in August 1944. This personal connection inspired one of his most heartfelt and boldly original scores! The release also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the film, which starred Orson Welles, Alain Delon, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Leslie Caron, Charles Boyer, Yves Montand, Glenn Ford, Kirk Douglas, Gert Frobe and many other international stars. This wonder-filled 2-CD set also includes themes and suites from other fabulous Jarre scores of the same period: The Train, Weekend at Dunkirk, The Night of the Generals and The Damned.
